My father-in-law Dean, my son James, and I spent 11 days roughing in the plumbing and electrical for two restrooms and a laundry room at Camp Hope in Rusnov, Romania. Camp Hope is currently being used to house Ukrainian Refugees.
When I became the Missions Pastor for Lonoke, one of the first things I did was contact our missionaries Josh Edwards and Bryan Risner to see what support they needed. We were able to meet some immediate and long term needs for the Edwards. Brya

A Response To A Situation

I wanted to take a moment to address a situation which occurred last Wednesday, March 9th at Lonoke. We found one of our glass doors broken and a concoction had been thrown inside which had been lit on fire. It landed next to a wooden table and charred the leg, but no other damage was sustained and the fire flamed out.
Conway County Sheriff's Office sent out an officer and a couple of investigators. They did an outstanding job taking care of things for us. There isn’t muc

Hey Lonoke family! I hope everyone has had a great week to this point. As you have probably heard, there is a possibility of winter weather Saturday night. While I am ready for Spring, some snow is nice EXCEPT for when it affects Sundays! I love our time together on Sunday mornings, but some things are completely out of our control.
As I am writing this update, Friday morning at Big Cuppa, they still are not sure about the definite amount of snow or the definitive track of

If you are like me, you are inundated with news and commentary of our world through the internet and social media on a regular basis. Just this afternoon, President Biden delivered some words and made some decisions that some applaud and others abhor.
I want to encourage you though. If you focus on that stuff, you will miss out on what God is doing. I want to give you a story from last night at Lonoke during Mid-Week that challenged me but encouraged me.

Hey Lonoke family! I am sitting here at my normal Friday morning spot at Big Cuppa and wanted to give you a few thoughts for Sunday. We are excited to head back into another normal. We will be relaunching Sunday School!
It has been over a year since we have been able to lean into this important ministry. God has brought us full circle through His goodness. He has blessed us this last year despite not having this ministry making it even more exciting to see what He will do s

Hey Lonoke family! I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to the day. I wanted to share with you a new emphasis in ministry. Not a new ministry but a new emphasis. Throughout the Pandemic, we have a seen a natural transition from an emphasis on nights of ministry that we will embrace.
Our Wednesday nights, known as Mid-Week, will become a central point for all things ministry. It is transitioning into a night that will have an emphasis for EVERYONE.

It’s Resurrection Week! We watched a video to start off Morning Worship this past Sunday. It reminded us that Easter is not one day. We are Easter people! Everyday is Resurrection Day. Every week is Resurrection Week.
There is this particular weekend though, that focuses solely on Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. We are here at that weekend. Lonoke is excited as we have a couple special opportunities to worship Christ together.
I wanted to share with you what to expect d

Lonoke family! What a crazy week. The snow has been fun. The temperatures have been once in a lifetime. They have asked us to conserve energy and some of you lost power. Our kids still did school work even while they had “snow days.” Many have had to stay home from work. Wild!
Even with all the craziness, we are reminded of God’s goodness and we worship Him. I’m reminded of the words from the Psalmist, “Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His n

Hey Lonoke family. I pray everyone has had a wonderful week. I wanted to share some news with you and how Lonoke is responding. I tested positive for COVID-19 on Thanksgiving morning. I am symptomatic and assure you that it is no fun, but it is also a part of our world at this point.
I want to assure people that Sunday morning, I wore my mask during both services. I stayed to myself in the front corner as has become my practice somewhat. Not because I felt bad, I simply f

Hey Lonoke family! It has been a while since I visited with you through this forum. I want to start off by saying how great our God is! He is continually working in our congregation, community, country, and world. Lonoke has had such good worship services throughout the past several weeks. We have a baptism lined up for this Sunday. I got word today that a student was saved at ROOTS last night and a woman in our congregation led her friend to the Lord this morning.

Hey Lonoke family. It has felt like a long time since I have been able to say those words. In early August, you granted me the ability to take a month away. After 10 years of working through the highs and lows of ministry, a quick breath of fresh air was needed and you so graciously provided.
During September, I completely disconnected from every thing. I got off my social media accounts. I tried to intentionally spend time focused on my walk with God and my precious fami

Hey Lonoke family! It has been incredible the past couple of weeks worshiping in person with those who could come out. As always throughout this season, we know there are plenty of online worshipers. It has been great to continue worshiping with you.
Beginning the transition back to in-person worship has been exciting but stressful. The first two weeks have gone well. There has been a sweet spirit within the people. It has allowed leadership to see what sort of numbers our
