ROots (3 years-6th grade)

Roots is the children’s ministry of Lonoke Baptist Church, serving kids from 3 years old through 6th grade. Our mission is to plant the truth of God’s Word deep in the hearts of children and help them grow strong in their faith. Through age-appropriate Bible teaching, fun activities, worship, and caring relationships, we create a safe and engaging environment where kids can learn who Jesus is and how much He loves them. At Roots, we believe that faith starts young, and we’re passionate about helping kids build a strong foundation that will last a lifetime.

Singing the word of God

Roots worship is a unique part of our children’s ministry, where kids come together to worship God through songs built entirely on Scripture. Our goal is to help children hide God’s Word in their hearts through joyful, memorable, and meaningful worship. Every song we sing is rooted in the Bible, helping kids connect truth with melody in a way that sticks with them for life. Whether it’s a verse about God’s love, strength, or promises, Roots Worship is all about lifting up His Word and pointing every child to Jesus through music.

Teaching the word of God

Teaching in Roots is all about laying a strong, gospel-centered foundation for the next generation. We believe that children have the capacity to hear and respond to the gospel, and each week we create opportunities for them to do just that. Kids from 3 years old through 6th grade are guided through age-appropriate, Bible-based lessons that help them understand who God is, what He has done through Jesus, and how His Word applies to their lives.

Learning the word of GOd

Our volunteer-led small groups are where real connection and spiritual growth happen at Lonoke Student Ministry. Each group is led by committed adult volunteers who are passionate about walking alongside students in their faith journey. These leaders provide a safe space for students to ask honest questions, dive deeper into Scripture, and build authentic relationships. Through weekly conversations and Christ-centered mentorship, our small groups help students move beyond the crowd and into community, where faith becomes personal and life transformation begins.
